Here are some pictures I took of my new room and kitchen. Don't let the switching around of the vase irritate you, I needed the pink one for the sunflowers because they were bigger.
the cocktail cart! yay! I got a beautiful vintage cocktail shaker on etsy, I'm still working on decorating the cart though, I'll take more pictures at some point. And on the floor you can see another wine crate that I stained and chevroned (that's totally a word you guys.) with some painters tape and spray paint.
I had these winecrates in my old room (here's a picture), but I stained them darker and painted them on the inside. To be honest the color is a little too loud for me, when I feel like it, I'll buy some more muted blues and seafoam and paint over it.
I love this table! I got it for 20 swiss francs at the thrift store. And the bee ashtray!! There's a similar one here on etsy.
This dresser belonged to my grandmother, I already had it when I lived with my parents, but I feel like it looks so much more beautiful in this big room! like it has space to breathe now :)
the kitchen! the wall to the left still looks very empty, but we're going to add some "floating" shelves (if that's what they're called).
I went to the market that day, and when I bought a cranberry plant, the man gave me these sunflowers for free! the people at the market are so nice here, I actually got the peonies for free too, because I bought 4 lavender plants. The bird salt and pepper shakers on the table are from Urban Outfitters, I got them in 2009 and have been saving them for the day when I have my own kitchen, and that day has come!!
my roommate found these crates at the thrift store, and they fit perfectly into this weird niche we have in the kitchen! We use it to store stuff we don't use very much.
this shelf also belongs to my roommate, she found it in her parents basement and painted it white.
It's still a work in progress, I'll take more pictures as I add more things :)
